In order to get some kind of firing performance on the kilns that are reviewed, I tried to run these tests. Some of the results were unavailable and are filled in with a "?".

1- Heat up: How long did it take for the kiln to get from room temperature to 1000ûF

2- Cool Down: How long did it take for the kiln to cool from 1000ûF to 500ûF when the kiln is turned off. This gives you kind of a gage on the thermal retention a kiln has.

3- % of Power: This shows how much power is used to hold the kiln at 1000ûF.
