Blue Elemental Chandelier Assembly Instructions.

Unpack box and check that all the pieces are present and accounted for. Lay them out in their groups so that they are easy to find when it is time. All of the pieces are pictured here in this instruction sheet.

Locate where you want the fixture to be hung and make sure the electrical box can hold up about 65 lbs. A bracket and bonnet has been supplied. Other styles can be found at good lighting stores.

Items needed: small screwdriver, pliers for the chain, a ladder or two and an assistant to help hold things occasionally.

STEP 1 The top chandelier section is shipped assembled, place it on the desired length of chain and hang it from its installation spot. Wire to the electrical box and secure the bonnet. (Leave the light switch off) photo 1

STEP 2 Find the 3 cosmic up arms and place them in the corresponding innermost holes in the wooden armature. The Sun should face in the direction of the lines on the wooden armature. Photo 2 #2
STEP 3 Find the 3 cosmic down arms. Place them in their corresponding outer holes. Photo 3 #3
STEP 4 Place the 3 down lights in the holes with the corresponding numbers in the wooden armature.

STEP 5 Use the included wire nuts to join the wires from the 3 shades to the wire pigtails extending from the steel rod. Black with black and white with white. The little brass connector with the screw goes on the wires that are twisted together. The screw is then tightened down and the insulating plastic cap screws over the top. If unsure of wiring consult an electrician.
STEP 6 Locate the pieces shown in photo #5. Tuck the wires neatly up against the bottom of the wood armature you just installed. Remove the small brass locknut from the all-thread rod and slide the blue under-bowl onto the top of the rod and screw the brass locknut onto the rod about 1/4 of an inch. Next the ground wire needs to be attached to the ground screw in the hickey. Now take the rod with the under bowl on top of it and screw this assembly into the hickey under the wooden armature until it snugs up to the brass locknut. Allow the wires to rotate within the all-thread. #6

STEP 7 Locate the 2 tree portions shown in photo 7 and remove the brass nuts and washers from the bottom of the all-thread. Carefully slide the upper piece followed by the trunk section. While an assistant holds these pieces screw on the larger brass nut snug up against the bottom. Photo 8

STEP 8 Locate the little green piece, metal armature, locknuts and hickey. Photo 9. Slide the green piece onto the all-thread followed by the metal armature. While an assistant holds these pieces screw on the larger brass nut snug up against the bottom. Photo 10. The small brass nut goes on next followed by the hickey. The small lock nut is then tightened against the hickey so that about 1/4" of all thread is extending through the hickey. Photo 11

STEP 13 Now it is time to wire the lower section. The ground wire gets attached to the screw on the hickey. Wire nut all the lamp arm wires together with the incoming power. Take the power cord that passes through the center all-thread, and twist the black wire with the short pigtail and other black wires from the lamp arms. The short pigtails are used to connect the other lamps. Use the wire nuts supplied to tighten down on each group of wires, The little brass connector with the screw goes on the wires twisted together and the screw gets tightened. Then the plastic insulator cap screws ever the top. Repeat this process for the other white neutral wires. If unsure of wiring consult an electrician. Check to see if the wiring is correct by turning it on before proceeding to the next step.

STEP 14 Locate the aluminum under pan with the attached section of all thread. (Photo 21) The small locknut should be about 1/4' onto the top end of the all-thread. Tuck the wires up against the metal armature and screw the under pan and all thread into the hickey. Photo 22

STEP 15 You should now have the top part assembled and are ready to put on the final two pieces. Shown in photo 23. Gently slide the blue under bowl all the way up the short piece of all-thread until it touches the cork washer. Then place the smaller blue piece followed by the little rubber washer. Let an assistant help hold up the these pieces while you put on the finial, tighten snug, but not too tight! The under bowl should wiggle slightly side to side.
