Spring Tour and Plant Sale
February 26 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Tour Permaculture In Action
Throughout the year we have a variety of permaculture related Events, Tours and Workshops. This Friday we will have a free tour and plant sale
Brian will share with you an overview of what Permaculture is and some of the strategies used to implement it on your land. Ethics, concepts, strategies and themes of design will form a basis of understanding of how to partner with natural systems to create a resilient, abundant and regenerative system.
We offering these tours to further develop the connection between the farm and the wider community. Tours are a great way to visit the farm, learn and pick up some permaculture plants at the same time.
See first hand what it takes to turn a landscape into a productive, vibrant, resilient, regenerative system. What makes Permaculture and Biodynamic farming systems thrive in food abundance at the same time as they regenerate the land, create habitat, clean and store water and build soil? Tours generally cover land, water, nutrient, biomass and animal management systems. Nursery Plant sales and more.
Nursery Stock
As an established Permaculture farm we are constantly looking for unusual, hardy, and productive varieties of edible and useful plants to introduce into our system. Over the years we have targeted the ones we like for our region, climate and soils. These are the plants that we have chosen to propagate in our nursery and make them available to you.
The nursery is important component of any permaculture farms establishment. It allows one to grow the number of plants necessary to plant out a larger system and some to sell or trade for other plants or services. In our nursery we propagate new starts from seed, cuttings, layerings, divides and grafting. Always making sure that we have more then one specimen of any given plant ensures that you don’t loose it to deer, frost or other unforeseen events.
This link will take you to a few of the plant selections that we have on hand ready to plant in your system. We have a variety of fruit and Nut trees as well as a wide selection of unusual berry plants. Call us if you are looking for something that is not on this list, we may have it or know where to get it.
This tour will follow Covid protocol with distance and masks if in close quarters.
Please RSVP to let us plan for this event.
