Seaberries are Easy to grow and adaptable. Semi-upright growing shrub features charming silvery green foliage. In late summer and into fall, bright orange berries surround the branches, occasionally used in striking floral arrangements. Berries are edible and are rich in oils, and packed with vit C, Vit E, B6, B2, omega- 3, 6, 7, and 9 fatty acids. Oil-Rich Alternative to Oranges and they are a Nitrogen Fixer!

Description

 (Hippophae rhamnoides)  Seaberries are capable of growing on poor soils and improving them through their nitrogen fixation. Also known as Sea Buckthorn, is a spiny ornamental shrub with large bright orange, edible, tart berries that abundantly cover the branches in the fall. Seaberry fruits are easily harvested and make a good jelly or sauce and a delicious juice. They are an excellent source of vitamin C and have other healing properties. Good hedge plants, the gray green leaves of the Seaberry have silvery undersides making them a pleasant addition to any landscape.  Simply squeeze them, sweeten with sugar or honey, and enjoy the deliciously nutritious juice. Heavy bearer even into winter; produces up to 25 lbs. of berries on one plant. Pest- and disease-resistant. Cold hardy. Hardy to -40° F, drought tolerant. Ripens in September. 1 male needed for every 6-8 females
